DOWNTOWN. Primanti Brothers is probably the most famous restaurant in Pittsburgh, and its main location is open 24 hours to satisfy even the direst of sandwich cravings. Their claim to fame is creating an entire meal in a sandwich in addition to meat, you get your fried potatoes and Pittsburgh-style coleslaw (no mayo) right on the sandwich. Regulars at Primanti's suggest the double egg (surprisingly good early in the morning!), pastrami and cheese steak versions to get an authentic taste of this Pittsburgh favorite.
